Somatic Alignment & Breathwork

Breath is essential for life, providing nourishment and energy to our bodies. When we bring awareness to it, we anchor ourselves in the present moment.

By integrating practices like mindful movement, breathwork, sound healing and energy activation, we can connect with the body where unresolved emotional tension may be stored. This process facilitates emotional release, supporting nervous system regulation and enabling us to break free from old behavioral patterns while rewiring healthier coping mechanisms.

I was first introduced to breathwork while living in Bali. As a clinical pharmacist with over 27 years in Western medicine, I might have dismissed it if I’d been anywhere else. But in a safe circle of friends, guided by movement, music, and touch, I experienced how conscious breathing could unlock deep emotional layers held in the body.

Breathwork helped me release old patterns and emotional weight I didn’t know I was carrying, pain I had been projecting onto others. It showed me how fear, anxiety, and stress were stored in my body, and gave me tools to face life with more clarity and calm.

To deepen this mind-body-spirit connection and support others in their healing, I returned to Bali to train in somatic alignment and breathwork facilitation.

Breathwork meditation and stillness connects us to our bodies.

"Conscious breathing, which is a powerful meditation in its own right, will gradually put you in touch with the body…As soon as your habitual state changes from being out of the body and trapped in your mind, to being in the body and present in the Now, your physical body will feel lighter, clearer, more alive.”

~ Eckhart Tolle

“In order to change, people need to become aware of their sensations and the way that their bodies interact with the world around them. Physical self-awareness is the first step in releasing the tyranny of the past.”

~ Bessel Van Der Kolk,
