Conscious Connections: Trauma-Informed Practices for Education Assistants

Supporting Challenging Behaviours Through Regulation, Relationship, and Resilience

In this private Professional Development Day workshop, Education Assistants will explore how trauma and stress shape student behaviour and how unconscious reactions can either escalate or soothe a child in distress. Through the lens of Conscious Parenting and neuroscience, participants will learn practical tools for co-regulation, boundary-setting, and self-awareness. By understanding their own triggers and stress responses, EAs can model emotional safety and help students move from survival to learning.
